FRSC Commends Personnel For Eid-el-Kabir Patrol Operations

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has commended its personnel deployed for the ongoing Eid-el-Kabir Special Patrol Operations across the country, citing their contributions to improved road safety and traffic management during the festive period.

The Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, gave the commendation following reports submitted by supervisory teams from the national headquarters monitoring the special operations nationwide.

In a statement issued on Monday by the Corps Public Education Officer, Deputy Corps Commander Osondu Ohaeri, Mohammed praised the officers for their dedication, professionalism and outstanding performance throughout the exercise.

He noted that the commitment and gallantry displayed by personnel had played a significant role in enhancing safety on highways and ensuring smoother traffic flow during the Eid celebrations.

“The commitment and gallantry demonstrated by the personnel have contributed significantly to the successes recorded so far in ensuring safer highways and smoother traffic flow during the festive period,” the Corps Marshal stated.

Mohammed expressed satisfaction with the conduct and operational efficiency of the officers but urged them to sustain the momentum for the remainder of the special patrol operation.

According to him, the achievements recorded so far have been driven by the dedication of FRSC personnel and the cooperation of motorists across the country.

“The positive impact of the special patrol operations has been largely driven by the unwavering commitment of FRSC personnel as well as the cooperation received from members of the motoring public,” he added.

The Corps Marshal appealed to road users to continue adhering to traffic regulations and safety advisories issued by the corps during the festive season.

He warned against dangerous driving practices, including speeding, dangerous overtaking, overloading and the use of mobile phones while driving, describing them as major causes of road crashes.

Mohammed urged motorists to remain patient and disciplined on the highways, stressing that road safety is a collective responsibility.

He reaffirmed the corps’ commitment to ensuring a safe and hitch-free post-Eid-el-Kabir period through sustained enforcement, public enlightenment campaigns, traffic management and prompt rescue services on highways nationwide.
