Kaduna Governor Commissions Five Township Roads in Jaba LGA

KADUNA – Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has commissioned five township roads in Kwoi, the headquarters of Jaba Local Government Area, alongside the strategic Kwoi–Gora Road, describing the projects as a major step toward addressing years of infrastructure deficit in the area.

Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, Governor Sani said the completion of the roads fulfilled a promise he made when he flagged off the projects in September 2025.

According to him, delivering on such commitments strengthens public confidence in government and demonstrates accountability.

The newly commissioned roads include Audu Tilo Road, Sabon Gari Road, Doctor Sani Road, Hospital Road and Kpop Ham Palace Road, in addition to the Kwoi–Gora Road.

The governor noted that Jaba Local Government had gone for more than two decades without the completion of a single kilometre of road, describing the situation as a reflection of past infrastructural neglect.

He said the area was among 12 local government councils that received little attention in road development, adding that his administration is committed to ensuring equitable distribution of infrastructure projects across Kaduna State.

Governor Sani disclosed that his administration has initiated 150 road projects covering more than 1,355 kilometres across the state’s 23 local government areas, with most of the projects already completed.

He explained that the projects are aimed at improving connectivity, expanding economic opportunities and ensuring that all communities benefit from democratic governance.

According to the governor, the newly completed roads will improve access to schools and healthcare facilities, ease the movement of farmers and traders, stimulate commercial activities and enhance mobility within Kwoi and surrounding communities.

He added that the Kwoi–Gora Road, which was previously difficult to access, especially during the rainy season due to erosion and poor road conditions, will now improve transportation, facilitate agricultural activities, strengthen emergency response and attract investment to Jaba Local Government Area.

Governor Sani reiterated his administration’s commitment to balanced development, stating that government policies and public investments should be guided by fairness, equity and inclusiveness rather than geography or political considerations.
