LSCCC, FRSC Strengthen Partnership To Boost Road Safety And Emergency Response In Lagos

As part of sustained efforts to deepen institutional collaboration and reinforce coordinated emergency response mechanisms within Lagos, the Lagos State Command and Control Centre, LSCCC, team paid a courtesy visit to the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Corps Commander Kehinde Hamzat, in Ikeja.

The General Manager, Mr. Femi Kennedy Giwa, who led the LSCCC delegation, commended the Federal Road Safety Corps for its professionalism, operational discipline, and steadfast commitment to road safety enforcement, traffic regulation, and crash response management across the State.

He reiterated that as the State’s central emergency coordination hub, LSCCC remains committed to enhancing real-time incident monitoring, inter-agency communication interoperability, and rapid response activation across all emergency service providers.

The General Manager highlighted the Centre’s ongoing technological advancement initiatives, including the introduction of the Local Emergency Response and Management System (LERMS I & II), a structured innovation designed to strengthen decentralized emergency reporting, improve response efficiency, and enhance coordinated deployment across the State.

Responding, the Sector Commander, Corps Commander Kehinde Hamzat, appreciated the LCCC team and emphasized the importance of synergy among safety and emergency management institutions in safeguarding lives, protecting property, and reinforcing public confidence in emergency services delivery.

Both agenciesreaffirmed their shared mandate to enhance intelligence exchange, operational coordination, and joint response strategies, particularly in traffic incident management, rapid response deployment, and strategic public safety awareness initiatives.

Both institutions also resolved to integrate designated FRSC personnel within the Lagos State Command and Control Centre to strengthen intelligence exchange, improve traffic incident monitoring, and ensure seamless multi-agency emergency response coordination.

The engagement underscored a renewed commitment to building a more integrated, technology-driven safety architecture that guarantees timely intervention and improved service delivery for residents of Lagos State.
