Tinubu Commended Over Reconstruction Of Namnai Bridge In Taraba

Governor of Agbu Kefas has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the ongoing reconstruction of the collapsed Namnai Bridge in Gassol Local Government Area of Taraba State.

The governor gave the commendation during an inspection visit to the project site, where he expressed satisfaction with the Federal Government’s intervention and commitment to completing the bridge project on schedule.

Kefas stated that the Taraba State Government would continue to monitor the project closely to ensure its timely completion, noting that the initiative reflects strong collaboration between the state and federal governments.

According to him, the reconstruction of the Namnai Bridge is critical to improving transportation, connectivity, and socio-economic activities within the area and across the state.

Also speaking during the inspection, the Minister of State for Regional Development, Uba Ahmadu Maigari, disclosed that the Federal Government, through the North East Development Commission, had awarded six bridge projects across Taraba State.

Maigari said work had already commenced on the projects, reaffirming the Federal Government’s commitment to partnering with the state government to ensure successful and timely delivery.

The project engineer, while briefing the governor on the progress of work, said the reconstruction of the Namnai Bridge is expected to be completed within one year.

The engineer added that an alternative access road currently under construction would be ready within 10 days to ease movement around the project area during the reconstruction process.
