Umahi Commends Pace, Quality Of Road Project
The Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi has expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work on the first stretch of the four hundred and sixty five kilometer third Legacy Road Project initiated by President Bola Tinubu.
The Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi stated this during an inspection of Federal Road projects in Ebonyi State.
Section one of the third Legacy Road project stretches from Calabar to Ndibe Beach in Afikpo, Ebonyi State through to Amasiri, Onueke, Mbeke Ishieke and terminates at Ebonyi and Benue State boundary.
Senator Umahi said that the contract sum for the section one of the road project was over four hundred billion Naira.
At the sixty nine kilometer Dangote Cash Credit Road Project that runs from Amasiri through Uturu to Okigwe in Imo State and Ndibe Beach Bridge linking South East with the Lagos – Calabar Coastal Highway, the Minister commended the contractors handling the projects for their resourcefulness.
He pointed out that when completed the projects would boost economic activities and enhance security in the South East region.
Senator Umahi called on the people of South East geo- political zone to support the present administration at the federal level to guarantee more development projects in the area.
