Ogun FRSC Decorates 57 Promoted Officers, Charges Them On Discipline
The Ogun State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has decorated 57 officers recently promoted to higher ranks, urging them to uphold discipline, professionalism and integrity in the discharge of their duties.
The officers were decorated on Thursday following their elevation, with the Sector Commander, Corps Commander Oludare Ogunjobi, describing the promotions as both a recognition of their past performance and a call to greater responsibility.
The newly promoted officers comprise five Assistant Corps Commanders, 27 Chief Route Commanders, 16 Superintendent Route Commanders, six Route Commanders and one Deputy Route Commander.
Among those decorated was the Sector Public Relations Officer, Afolabi Odunsi, who was promoted to the rank of Chief Route Commander.
Ogunjobi said Odunsi’s promotion reflected the Corps’ recognition of his commitment and professionalism in public communication and stakeholder engagement.
Congratulating the newly promoted officers, the Sector Commander urged them to justify the confidence placed in them by demonstrating strong leadership, integrity and dedication.
He reminded the officers that their new ranks came with increased responsibilities, particularly in advancing the FRSC’s mandate of reducing road traffic crashes and protecting lives on Nigerian roads.
Ogunjobi therefore charged them to remain committed to the ideals of the Corps and maintain high standards of professionalism in their interactions with motorists and other road users.
