Oborevwori Approves Reconstruction Of Effurun Roundabout -NPA Road

Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has approved the reconstruction of the Effurun Roundabout to NPA Road, a critical transport corridor serving residents, businesses and industrial operators within the Warri and Effurun axis of the state.

The approval is part of the state government’s broader infrastructure renewal programme under the MORE Agenda, which focuses on improving road networks, enhancing connectivity and driving economic growth across Delta State.

According to the government, the reconstruction project is expected to address long-standing transportation challenges experienced by commuters and motorists along the busy route, while also improving the movement of goods and services in the area.

The Effurun Roundabout–NPA Road corridor is regarded as one of the major economic routes in the state, linking commercial centres, residential communities and industrial hubs. The road also plays a strategic role in supporting activities connected to the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) and other port-related operations in the region.

Residents, traders, transport operators and business owners are expected to benefit from the improved road infrastructure through reduced travel time, easier accessibility and smoother traffic flow once the reconstruction is completed.

The state government noted that the project aligns with ongoing efforts to modernise infrastructure and create a more business-friendly environment capable of attracting investment and supporting economic expansion within the state.

The approval, according to officials, further demonstrates Governor Oborevwori’s commitment to delivering people-oriented projects aimed at improving living standards and promoting sustainable development across Delta State.

The reconstruction is also expected to enhance safety for road users and strengthen commercial activities along the corridor, which remains one of the busiest routes in the Warri and Effurun metropolitan area.
