TCAN Summit: Stakeholders Push For Seamless Transport Interconnectivity

OLORUNDARE ENIMOLA, Lagos

The Transportation Correspondents Association of Nigeria (TCAN) held its annual summit on Wednesday 24, September, in Radisson Hotel, Ikeja, where several speakers call for seamless Interconnectivity of the different modes of transportation in the country.

Themed; “Driving the Transport Logistics Value Chains for Economic Growth”, the summit served as a platform to deepen collaboration among stakeholders, foster fresh perspectives, and inspire policy frameworks that will enhance the transport and logistics value chain as a driver of national economic growth.

The summit brought together key stakeholders across the transport and logistics sector, including; representatives of the Hon. Minister of Transportation, Mr. Said Ahmed Alkali; the Hon. Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola; the Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation, Dr. Kayode Opeifa; representatives of the Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi.

Present also are representatives of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA); Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA); Lagos State Parking Authority (LASPA); Dangote Group; Nigerian Shippers’ Council; and Truck Transit Parks (TTP), among others.
