Yayi Announces Completion Of Simawa-Kaniyi Road In Ogun

Senator Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, has announced the completion and delivery of the 2-kilometre Simawa-Kaniyi Road in Sagamu Local Government Area of Ogun State.

Adeola, who represents Ogun West Senatorial District in the National Assembly and is the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the 2027 election in the state, disclosed this in a post on X on Saturday.

The senator said the road project was completed alongside the installation of solar-powered streetlights to enhance safety, security and visibility along the route, particularly at night.

“We are pleased to announce the completion and delivery of the 2-kilometre Simawa-Kaniyi Road in Sagamu Local Government Area, complemented by solar-powered streetlights,” Adeola said.

He explained that the project would improve connectivity among communities in the area and make transportation easier and safer for residents, motorists and other road users.

According to him, the solar-powered streetlights would further improve visibility along the road after dark and contribute to enhanced security in the surrounding communities.

Adeola also said the improved road infrastructure would support economic and social activities by facilitating easier movement of people and goods within the area.

He described the project as part of efforts to provide essential infrastructure and extend the benefits of government interventions to communities across Ogun State.

“The intervention reflects our unwavering commitment to facilitating essential infrastructure and extending the dividends of democracy to communities across Ogun State,” he said.

The Simawa-Kaniyi Road is located in Sagamu Local Government Area, within Ogun West Senatorial District, which Adeola represents in the National Assembly.
