FRSC Rewards Outstanding Officers, Reinforces Commitment To Integrity

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has recognised and rewarded outstanding officers as part of ongoing efforts to reinforce integrity, transparency, and professionalism within the Corps.

At a ceremony held in Abuja, the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, presented commendation letters and cash rewards to selected personnel drawn from commands across the country. The awardees were recognised for their consistent display of ethical conduct, discipline, and dedication to duty.

According to the FRSC, the recognition was not based on isolated acts of performance but on sustained commitment to the Corps’ core values, including accountability, service excellence, and professionalism. The initiative, the leadership noted, is designed to promote a culture where integrity is not only expected but consistently rewarded.

FRSC spokesperson, Felicia Kalu, stated that the awards form part of a broader institutional framework aimed at motivating personnel, boosting morale, and strengthening public confidence in the agency’s operations.

She explained that the Corps maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards unethical behaviour, adding that recognising officers who uphold high standards is critical to driving internal reforms and improving service delivery.

Speaking further, the Corps Marshal stressed that integrity remains the backbone of effective law enforcement, noting that the FRSC will continue to celebrate and incentivise conduct that enhances its credibility and operational efficiency.

He described the recognition as both a reward for excellence and a challenge to other personnel to emulate the values demonstrated by the honourees. He also reaffirmed the management’s commitment to providing the necessary support, welfare, and incentives required to sustain professionalism across all levels of the organisation.

The FRSC reiterated that initiatives such as this are key to building a disciplined workforce capable of delivering on its mandate of ensuring safer roads and protecting lives nationwide.
