FRSC, Dufil Move To Strengthen Road Safety Partnership Nationwide
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and Dufil Prima Foods Plc have begun discussions aimed at expanding their road safety partnership across the country as part of efforts to promote safer roads and reduce traffic-related accidents.
The move followed a courtesy visit by officials of Dufil Prima Foods Plc to the FRSC headquarters in Abuja, where both parties explored ways to deepen collaboration on road safety awareness, responsible driving practices, and public advocacy programmes.
The Dufil delegation was led by the company’s Director of Special Projects, Rajesh Gaggar, alongside the Group Corporate Communications and Events Manager, Temitope Ashiwaju. During the meeting, the two organisations reviewed previous joint initiatives and identified new areas for cooperation.
Speaking during the visit, Ashiwaju highlighted the company’s contributions to road safety promotion, including the donation of 10,000 safety helmets to commercial motorcycle operators and the renovation of the FRSC office in Lagos.
He noted that road safety remains a key aspect of Dufil’s corporate social responsibility efforts and expressed the company’s commitment to supporting initiatives that enhance public safety nationwide.
“For us at Dufil, road safety remains an important area of social impact. We are pleased to engage further with the FRSC leadership on how we can expand these efforts nationally,” he said.
In his remarks, FRSC Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed commended Dufil Prima Foods for its continued support of road safety campaigns and stressed the importance of partnerships between government agencies and private organisations in promoting a culture of safety on Nigerian roads.
Both organisations also discussed plans to collaborate on nationwide school advocacy campaigns, public enlightenment programmes, and other initiatives designed to improve road safety awareness and reduce road crashes across the country.
The proposed expansion of the partnership is expected to strengthen ongoing efforts to encourage responsible road use and enhance safety for motorists, passengers, and pedestrians nationwide.
