Guyuk Bye-Pass Road Construction Reaches Priming Stage
Construction work on the 2.5-kilometre Guyuk Bye-Pass Road in Adamawa State has reached the priming stage, signalling further progress in the state government’s efforts to improve road infrastructure and expand transportation networks across the state.
The project, which commenced recently, is expected to provide an alternative route for motorists and ease traffic movement within Guyuk and its surrounding communities when completed.
The development is also expected to improve connectivity and support economic activities in the area by providing better access for the movement of people, goods and services.
The Adamawa State Government, under the administration of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has continued to place emphasis on the development and rehabilitation of roads as part of its broader infrastructure programme.
The ongoing work on the Guyuk Bye-Pass Road is considered one of the projects aimed at addressing transportation challenges and improving access between communities within the state.
The Ministry of Works, under the leadership of Commissioner Mohammed Suleiman, has maintained regular monitoring and supervision of ongoing projects to ensure that construction activities are carried out in line with approved specifications.
According to the ministry, the monitoring is also intended to ensure compliance with quality standards and project timelines, while identifying and addressing issues that could affect the timely completion of projects.
The ministry said the progress recorded on the Guyuk Bye-Pass Road demonstrates the steady advancement of the project and the government’s commitment to delivering durable road infrastructure across Adamawa.
Residents and road users in Guyuk and neighbouring communities are expected to benefit from the project upon completion, particularly through improved mobility and reduced pressure on existing routes.
The government has reiterated its commitment to sustaining the development of road infrastructure across the state, with the aim of improving transportation, strengthening connectivity and creating an environment that supports economic growth.
The continued progress of the Guyuk Bye-Pass Road therefore marks another step in the state’s ongoing efforts to upgrade its road network and provide infrastructure capable of meeting the transportation needs of its growing communities.
