Bauchi Secures $91.6m ECOWAS Bank Loan For 24 Road Projects
The Bauchi State Government has secured a $91.6 million financing facility from the ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID) to fund the construction of 24 strategic road and bridge projects across the state.
Governor Bala Mohammed announced the development during a meeting with senior government officials at the Government House in Bauchi, describing the funding as a major boost to the state’s infrastructure development agenda.
According to the governor, the projects are expected to strengthen the state’s transport network, improve the movement of people and agricultural produce, and expand access to markets, thereby stimulating economic growth across Bauchi State.
Mohammed commended the management of the ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development for its confidence in the state’s development vision and commitment to infrastructure renewal.
He also assured residents that the funds would be managed with transparency, accountability, and fiscal discipline to ensure the successful execution and timely completion of all approved projects.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering critical infrastructure that will enhance connectivity, support commerce, and improve the socio-economic well-being of citizens.
