NCAT Explores Chinese Companies To Boost Aviation Training

Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria, is partnering with various Chinese companies in a bid to further enhance training for its students.

Among the companies the aviation college is partnering with is the China Sky-Wings International Education Technology Co., Ltd, CETC Nanjing Information Technology Co. Ltd and the Green Aerotechnics Research Institute of CQJTU.

A statement yesterday by the Director of Information and Public Relations, NCAT, Dr Jude Amadi, said that the Rector of NCAT, Dr Danjuma Ismaila led the delegation to the East Asian country.

According to him, China Sky-Wings International Education Technology Co., Ltd, specialises in aviation training, flight simulation, pilot development and aviation technology education to further enhance training for its students, CETC Nanjing Information Technology Co. Ltd., specialises on Air Traffic Management (ATM), while Green Aerotechnics Research Institute of CQJTU, is known for development of the Boeing T1400 Electric Drone technology, among others.

In his comment, Ismaila said NCAT sought to explore areas of opportunity and training collaborations with major aviation training centres in China.

Ismaila also stated that technological innovation, advancement and the upgrade of software and simulators to enhance operational efficiency was very important in today’s world, stressing that Nigeria could not be left behind.

He added that the partnerships would be mutually beneficial for all the parties concerned.

He explained further that China Sky-Wings for instance, has training facilities in several cities across China and collaborates with international aviation organisations and simulator companies.

The delegate also included Technical Adviser to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Dr Muhammad Muhammad; Personal Assistant to the Rector, Umar Bello and a senior NCAT official, Aminu Dan-Musa, among others.
