Tinubu To Commission Key Abuja Road Projects This Week — Wike

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has announced that President Bola Tinubu will this week inaugurate a series of completed road infrastructure projects across Abuja.

Wike made the disclosure on Monday during an inspection tour of the projects, expressing satisfaction with the quality of work and the contractors’ adherence to project timelines.

According to the minister, the commissioning exercise will commence on Tuesday with the inauguration of the Usafa Road project. The N5 Lifecamp Road is scheduled for commissioning on Wednesday, while the Airport–Kuje Road will be inaugurated on Thursday.

He stated that all three projects have been completed and are ready for public use.

“Those three projects are 100 per cent complete and ready for commissioning,” Wike said.

The minister commended the contractors, including CGC, Arab Contractors and Julius Berger, for delivering the projects as agreed.

Wike also disclosed that the official residence of the President of the Court of Appeal, being constructed by a local contractor, will be commissioned on Friday, June 12.

He described the quality of work on the project as satisfactory and expressed confidence that the completed infrastructure would improve the living conditions of residents in the Federal Capital Territory.

The minister noted that residents had expressed satisfaction with the projects and appreciated the media for its continued coverage of the administration’s infrastructure development efforts and the forthcoming commissioning activities.
