FAAN Holds 2026 Management Retreat To Drive Sustainable Growth
The Managing Director and Chief Executive of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Olubunmi Kuku, has declared open the Authority’s 2026 Management Retreat, with a focus on consolidating reforms and institutionalising sustainable growth across Nigeria’s airport system.
The three-day retreat, which commenced on Thursday, June 5, 2026, is themed “Consolidating Gains and Institutionalizing Sustainable Growth.” It brings together FAAN’s senior management team to assess the Authority’s transformation journey, strengthen institutional capacity, and align strategic priorities with evolving global aviation trends and industry best practices.
According to a statement issued by FAAN’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Henry Agbebire, discussions on the opening day centred on positioning the Authority for future growth through sustained reforms and strategic planning.
Key sessions examined global and African airport development trends, process standardisation, performance management across Nigeria’s airports, as well as infrastructure modernisation and operational efficiency.
The retreat also provided an opportunity for a comprehensive review of progress recorded under the Managing Director’s transformative agenda, with emphasis on embedding sustainable growth, operational excellence, innovation, and long-term value creation within the Authority.
FAAN said the retreat is expected to deepen collaboration among its leadership team and reinforce its commitment to building a more efficient, resilient, and globally competitive airport system.
