TRACE Begins 2026 Operations With New Year Prayer Session In Abeokuta
OLORUNDARE ENIMOLA, Lagos
The Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE) on Friday 2, January, commenced its 2026 operational activities with a New Year prayer session at its headquarters in Abeokuta, the state capital.
The prayer event which started by 12 midday was held at the Old OGTV Complex along Ajebo Road, having the Acting Commander General of the Agency, Mr. Elias Adedayo Omonayajo, members of management and staff in attendance as part of activities to usher in the new year.
Addressing personnel, Omonayajo expressed gratitude to the Ogun State Government for providing an enabling environment and improved working conditions that have enhanced traffic management operations across the state.
He also commended the dedication and cooperation of TRACE officers, noting that their collective efforts have contributed significantly to saving lives and protecting property on Ogun roads.
The acting commander general emphasised the importance of teamwork, describing love and mutual respect as key pillars for achieving organisational goals. He urged officers to remain diligent, committed and professional in the discharge of their duties in the year ahead.
In her remarks, the Area Commander in charge of Training and Public Education, Commander Morolake Filani, thanked God for the preservation of lives and praised Omonayajo’s leadership, describing it as instrumental in positioning the agency for a strong start to the year. She offered prayers for continued wisdom and guidance for the leadership to further strengthen the agency’s operations.
Filani also proposed the introduction of a monthly week-long physical training programme to improve the fitness and overall wellbeing of officers, a suggestion that was received for consideration by management.
The prayer session was followed by an interactive brainstorming and knowledge-sharing forum, during which officers shared ideas and recommendations aimed at improving service delivery and enhancing the agency’s effectiveness in traffic management and public safety.
