FRSC Ogun Commander Inspects Sagamu-Ore Benin Road Project
The Ogun State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Corps Commander O. Ogunjobi, has inspected the ongoing road construction project along the Sagamu-Ijebu Ode-Ore-Benin corridor as part of efforts to improve traffic management and road safety.
The familiarisation tour, conducted on May 15, 2026, covered Corridor 6 and was in line with the FRSC’s 2026 strategic goal of reducing road traffic crashes, fatalities and injuries through enhanced intervention and collaboration with stakeholders.
During the inspection, Ogunjobi assessed traffic conditions from the Sagamu Interchange to the Ijebu Ode axis and interacted with FRSC operational teams and commanding officers deployed along the corridor.
The Sector Commander also visited CBC Global Construction, the company handling the road project, where he commended the pace of work and urged the management to install more road signs and guardrails, particularly around the Ososa Triple Bridge, to improve safety for road users.
He further appealed to the construction firm to continue supporting the FRSC in its efforts to enhance safety and service delivery along the route.
Responding, the Project Supervisor of CBC Global Construction, Engineer Adebajo, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting the FRSC in achieving its road safety objectives.
Photographs were taken during the inspection visit.
