FAAN, Foreign Airlines Meet Over Airport Operations, Passenger Experience

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria has held talks with members of the International Airlines Association of Nigeria as part of efforts to improve airport operations and enhance passenger experience across the country’s airports.

The meeting, held at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, brought together officials of FAAN and representatives of international airlines to discuss operational challenges and strengthen collaboration between both parties.

In a statement issued on Sunday, FAAN said the interactive session was led by the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Henry Agbebire, and focused on improving service delivery as well as fostering stronger working relationships between airline operators and the authority’s Department of Protocol and Passages.

According to the statement, airline operators raised concerns over inadequate signage around ongoing landside construction works, insufficient lifts, shuttle bus challenges, and issues relating to airside ramp markings affected by ongoing construction activities.

The airlines also called for greater support from FAAN to improve customer experience for passengers using Nigerian airports.

Responding to the concerns, Agbebire assured stakeholders that the authority would review all complaints and observations raised during the meeting with a view to enhancing operational standards and overall service delivery at airports nationwide.

FAAN noted that the engagement formed part of ongoing efforts to address operational bottlenecks and ensure improved coordination between airport authorities and airline operators.
