ARISE Business Analyst Commends Lagos–Ibadan Rail Service on Live Global Broadcast

The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has acknowledged recent comments by ARISE Business Analyst, Mr. Chika Mbonu, who publicly shared his experience aboard the Lagos–Ibadan Train Service during a live broadcast of ARISE Global Business News.

Speaking while analysing Nigeria’s ongoing inflation deceleration, Mr. Mbonu cited the Lagos–Ibadan rail service as seamless, efficient and reliable from a commuter’s perspective. His remarks, made in the course of broader economic discussions, were spontaneous and not part of any sponsored or promotional engagement.

The analyst noted that dependable transport infrastructure, including rail services, contributes meaningfully to economic stability by lowering logistical costs, improving time efficiency and boosting public confidence in government-led development initiatives.

The Lagos–Ibadan corridor remains one of Nigeria’s flagship standard-gauge rail lines, serving thousands of passengers weekly and enhancing connectivity between Lagos, the nation’s commercial centre, and other parts of the South-West region.
