FRSC Disowns Fake Recruitment Notice, Warns Applicants Against Fraud
The Federal Road Safety Corps has dismissed a viral notice directing applicants who were not shortlisted or did not receive invitation messages for its 2026 recruitment exercise to report to the nearest FRSC camp for verification.
The Corps, in a statement shared on its official X handle on Sunday, described the notice as fake and unauthorised, urging applicants to disregard the information and avoid falling victim to recruitment scams.
The fraudulent notice reportedly instructed affected applicants to report to the nearest FRSC camp for verification on or before September 25, 2026. However, the road safety agency clarified that it had not issued any such directive.
“The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has categorically disowned a viral notice circulating on social media directing applicants who were not shortlisted or did not receive invitation messages to report to the nearest FRSC camp for verification on or before 25 September 2026. The notice is fake, unauthorised and should be disregarded,” the Corps stated.
The FRSC further warned applicants against reporting to any of its offices, camps or training institutions based on the circulating message, stressing that official information concerning the recruitment exercise would only be communicated through its authorised channels.
“The public is advised to rely only on official FRSC communication channels for information concerning the 2026 recruitment exercise,” the agency added.
The warning follows the Corps’ 2026 nationwide recruitment exercise, which commenced in July and invited qualified Nigerians to apply for positions across the Officer Cadre, Marshal Inspectorate Cadre and Road Marshal Assistant Cadre.
According to the recruitment portal, applications are closed, while existing applicants will be contacted regarding subsequent stages of the exercise.
The FRSC also cautioned applicants against making payments, sharing personal information or clicking links circulated by individuals claiming to facilitate recruitment into the agency.
It warned that anyone found exploiting the recruitment process to deceive or defraud members of the public would be reported to the appropriate law enforcement authorities.
