One Dead As Tricycle, LT Bus Collide In Lagos

One person has been confirmed dead following a collision involving a tricycle and a light transport (LT) bus at Iyana Ejigbo, Lagos State.

The fatal accident occurred on Monday morning in front of Grooming Centre, inward Iyana Ejigbo, according to the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA).

The agency confirmed the incident in an update posted on its official X account at about 9:30 a.m., stating that the crash resulted in the loss of one life.

LASTMA disclosed that its officers, alongside police personnel, promptly mobilised to the scene to carry out emergency response and rescue operations.

The agency did not provide further details about the identity of the deceased or the circumstances that led to the collision.

Following the incident, LASTMA urged motorists and other road users to exercise caution and comply with traffic regulations to prevent avoidable accidents.

The authority reiterated the importance of responsible driving and strict adherence to road safety rules in reducing road crashes and protecting lives across Lagos State.
