Carloha Launches Chery Q To Boost Electric Vehicle Adoption In Nigeria

Carloha Nigeria, an assembler and distributor of Chery vehicles, has intensified efforts to promote electric vehicle (EV) adoption in Nigeria with the launch of the Chery Q, supported by a six-year warranty and a seven-day repair guarantee.

The company announced that the new electric vehicle is now available nationwide, expanding the range of EV options accessible to Nigerian motorists as competition and investment in the country’s emerging electric mobility market continue to grow.

The Chery Q comes with Carloha’s CarlohaCare 6-6-7 aftersales package, which includes a six-year warranty, six years of free scheduled servicing covering up to 120,000 kilometres, and a seven-day repair promise.

Under the package, customers will be provided with a courtesy vehicle if repairs are not completed within seven days, according to the company.

General Manager, Marketing, Carloha Nigeria, Felix Mahan, said the launch reflected the company’s commitment to making electric mobility more accessible to Nigerians.

Mahan described the arrival of the Chery Q as the fulfilment of the company’s promise to introduce another Chery electric vehicle to the Nigerian market.

He said, “The arrival of the Chery Q represents the fulfilment of our promise to bring another exciting Chery electric vehicle to Nigeria. We are pleased that the Chery Q is now available nationwide, giving more Nigerians the opportunity to experience intelligent, sustainable and enjoyable electric mobility.”

The marketing executive explained that the company’s focus extended beyond the vehicle itself to include aftersales services designed to strengthen consumer confidence and address concerns surrounding electric vehicle ownership.

According to him, the Chery Q combines design, intelligent technology, practical space, advanced safety features, electric range and fast-charging capabilities.

He added that the company’s CarlohaCare 6-6-7 and CarlohaCare 6-6-7 Rescue programmes were designed to provide customers with reliable support and reassurance.

“Beyond the vehicle itself, our commitment is to give customers the confidence that comes with superior aftersales support,” Mahan said.

The latest product launch comes amid the gradual expansion of Nigeria’s electric mobility market, where vehicle availability, charging infrastructure, acquisition costs and dependable maintenance services remain key considerations for prospective buyers.
